Moving Forward

Well, I got myself a job! I have been offered (and will be accepting in the morning) a position as a Lead Pre-K teacher at an ACS center run by the YWCA here in NYC. It’s a great school, great position, and a lot of benefits and guarantees that were not there in my last position. I’m going into this position thinking/hoping that it’s temporary, but I really do like the school and would be willing to stay there beyond August if TFA isn’t able to get me another position.

I’m actually really excited! I did a great demo lesson today at a different school, and am kind of hoping that TFA will follow up with them and try to get me a full-time position for the fall there. It was a great school and I really enjoyed myself. However, I’ve been sitting on this offer since Monday, and I’m just really looking forward to getting back in the classroom and with kids. I’m also really looking forward to being in Pre-K again, because I definitely miss my kids.

Thanks so much to everyone who’s been giving me support and sending love my way during this ridiculous period.

Ah! Yeah! JOB!
